H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi founded SAHAJA YOGA in the year 1970. 

 

She has traveled extensively and relentlessly worked very hard to educate and enlighten people all over the world. In India, Shri Mataji is recognized by hundreds and thousands of people as a saint and has had the honorific "Mother" bestowed upon Her by the Indian Government in recognition of Her work of bringing forth a unique solution to today's modern day problems through simple methods of meditation in Sahaja Yoga. Transformation through inner awakening of the vital energy within each and every human being and bringing forth peace and balance in mankind is the key goal of Her mission.
