Meditation at home

Step 1: Self Realization

The first step to meditation is to get your Self Realization and then you can spontaneously become thoughtlessly aware after the awakening of Kundalini energy. Without receiving your self realization, you wont be able to open your chakras that are responsible for your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

 

It is only after the awakening of your vital energy, Kundalini that you can meditate and silence your mind and achieve a state called thoughtless awareness.

Step 2: Set up Meditation Space

In order to reap the benefits of Sahaja Yoga to the fullest extent, one must work towards taking time to meditate twice daily atleast for 5-10 minutes. This not only ensures a steady growth in your awareness of the chakras and channels but it also protects you from all kinds of problems that you face on a day to day basis.

 

In order to do this you need to set up a meditation space in your house and place a photograph of H.H. Shri Mataji so that you can awaken your kundalini and connect with your spirit every time you sit to meditate.

Her photograph emits vibrations(vibrations emitting from the photograph in picture below) that act as a catalyst to open your chakras and fill them up with the vibrations that soothe us down completely.

The key to have good and uplifting meditations at home is that we must ensure the meditation space that we create at home be kept honorable and clean.

​

In addition to that a candle can be lit to help neutralize any negativity that affect our energy channels and chakras  especially on our left side. This is an important point to find out if you are having any imbalances affecting your moon channel or say the left side of your being.

​

You can also use flowers and incense if available to enhance the aesthetics of your meditation area.

Step 3: Raising of Kundalini & Giving Protection

Once you have setup the meditation area, you may now choose to sit comfortably either on a chair or on the floor. There is no special posture needed to meditate and its essential to sit comfortably without straining your body at any point of time.

Now you can raise your Kundalini and give yourselves a protection called Bandhan by following the video below.

There are many photographs of mine which the camera has taken, not me, the camera has taken, where there are lights on top of my head, shafts of light; shafts of light completely covering my body. There is light, a complete sun in my hand, a complete sun in my hand; the light is going round me.

​

My photograph can do the job as it has also got vibrations. They all use my photograph. You can do it yourself. You must know the technique, how to manoeuvre this power, that’s all. Then you can do it even if I am not there,.... And nowadays I am not curing people; just they are using my photograph.

Raising the Kundalini

 

Place the left hand in front of your lower abdomen, palm facing the body. Raise the hand up vertically, until it reaches a position above your head. While the left hand is ascending, the right hand rotates around it clockwise, until both hands are above the head. Use both hands to tie a knot. Repeat three times. The third time, tie the knot three times.

The Bandhan

 

Placing a bandhan gives protection to the subtle system from attention disturbances and also protects the aura. Hold the left hand out on your lap, palm upwards. Place your right hand over your left hip and slowly raise your right hand up the left side, over your head and down the right side of your body. Then raise the right hand up the right side, over your head and down the left side. This is one bandhan. Repeat seven times (one for each Chakra).

Step 4: Balancing your channels

Clearing the Left Side

 

This technique helps to remove feelings of being over emotional, dwelling in the past or feeling tingling, heat or heaviness on the left hand.

 

Now hold the left hand out, palm upwards and place the right hand on the earth, or direct it towards the earth.

​

Affirmation: Mother please clear my left channel and remove all negativities through Mother Earth

Clearing the Right Side

 

This technique is done to remove all over planning and stressed thoughts and if can’t stop thinking, can’t sleep or feeling tingling heat or heaviness on the right hand

 

Now hold the right hand out, palm upwards, bend the left arm at the elbow and direct the palm towards the back.

​

Affirmation: Mother please clear my right channel and remove all negativities through Ether/Sky element.

Step 5: Thoughtless Awareness & Absorb the Vibrations

If you have any thoughts still popping in your mind, just repeat the affirmation "Mother I forgive" and get to thoughtless awareness state by saying           "Mother please grant me thoughtless awareness state"

​

Now you can place both the hands back on the lap with a desire to absorb vibrations that are emitting from the photograph of H.H. Shri Mataji. You can sit for as long as you want and enjoy the blissful state of meditation. 

 

Leave all your worries about future and all the thoughts of the past to the all pervading power of divine love.

Step 6: Raise your Kundalini & Take Bandhan

Whenever you feel completely relaxed and balanced, you can now thank the divine power in your heart.

​

And then you can raise your Kundalini and give yourselves a protection called Bandhan.

​

This will help you keep your vibrations intact and allow you to protect your chakras from any negativity after the meditation.

Begin your meditation by inviting the vibrations from Shri Mataji's photograph to be absorbed by your subtle system. This can be possible with your desire power and helps you immensely by nourishing your chakras.   

​

Thoughts are generally about the past or the future - but in true meditation we gradually have the realisation of being purely in the present, without thought. The left and right channels of our Subtle System look after our past and future. Use these balancing techniques to balance these channels.
